"It is particularly extraordinary to notice that three commentaries on the book of Galatians will be published this year – one by DA Carson, one by Thomas Schreiner and one by Douglas Moo. One can hardly wait! This should be a hard year for legalists!".

R T Kendall on the Law in the Plan of Salvation
"The Law came in as an extra, it was "added" (Romans 5:20, Galatians 3:19). Once we trust what Jesus did for us on the Cross - when the law was fulfilled - we are in effect put back into Abraham's position who believed the Gospel and was saved before there was such a thing as God's Law. We are therefore not "under" the Law ... this does not mean we are given liberty to live in an ungodly manner - quite the contrary. We are led by the Spirit who leads to holy living".

Ern Baxter on the Book of Galatians
"Galatians has done more than any other book in the New Testament for the constant freedom of our Christian faith from Judaism, Romanism and every other form of externalism that has ever threatened the simplicity, freedom and spirituality of the Gospel".
