"Scripture doesn't tell us everything we want to know but it tells us all we need to know for living a godly life".
John Hosier cited in Terry Virgo - "Farewell to John & Sue Hosier" - CCK Blog - May 22nd, 2009.
"The man who never reads will never be read. He who never quotes will never be quoted. He who will not use the thoughts of other men's brains proves that he has no brains of his own ... You need to read" - C H Spurgeon. "To fail to learn from the pulpit of the past is to impoverish that of the present" - Tony Sargent

John Hosier on 2 Corinthians 5:21
"This is arguably one of the most important verses in the Bible ... It tells us what God did - He sent his Son ... It tells us who Jesus is - He is sinless ... It tells us what Jesus did - He was made sin ... It tells us who we are - the righteousness of God ... It tells us where we are - in Him".

John Hosier on the Holy Spirit Exalting Jesus Christ
"Sometimes churches that put an emphasis on the work of the Holy Spirit are accused of being casual in their exaltation of Jesus, being more taken up with sensational experiences of the Spirit. But over the years we have found that nothing could be further from the truth. Experiencing the Spirit removes us from a dull academic approach to theology, and stokes our passion and love for Jesus himself".

John Hosier on Ephesians 4 Ministries
"Apostles lay foundations and discern emerging leaders. Prophets challenge, stir up and motivate churches to keep to the vision. Evangelists train the church in reaching out to the lost. Pastor/teachers care for and instruct the flock of God. Such a Restoration of ministry is a huge help to the local church".John Hosier - "A New Day of Restoration" - NFI Magazine Aug-Oct 2002 - (p34).

Bill Hybels on the Church
“Life to the full – when Jesus promised us life in all its fullness I think He really meant it. I want to introduce life in awesome technicolour … awesome highs and devastating lows. This is the real deal. This is the only crack at life I am only going to get … If you love deeply then you are going to get hurt badly … celebrate raucously because celebration is a gift from God. I love local church work – I love the people I do it with – the stakes of it – it’s heaven and hell – it is the highest stake gain in town – I love that” – Bill Hybels.

John Hosier on Ephesians 4 Ministries and Stagnation
"In a time of stagnation, the Ephesians 4 Ministries will be a major weapon of attack against stagnation. You may need to call in apostolic ministry to lay some foundation of grace. You may need prophetic ministry in the church to awaken vision again. In (Haggai 1:13); “The work stagnated” – enter the prophet Haggai. “I am with you declares the Lord … they came and began work on the house of the Lord their God”. The prophet came in and stirred a stagnant people and the work on the temple began.
You may need an evangelist to come in and model something with regard to the Alpha programme. You may need to call in an experienced teacher to thrill people with truth.
When nothing is happening – don’t let nothing happen. Fight! You need Ephesians 4 Ministry that will stir and rally the people".John Hosier at TOAM '07 - 11th July 2007

John Hosier on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
"The essence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit ... "Abba! Father!". This is the inner witness of the Spirit. The direct and immediate testimony born by the Spirit to us .... I am as certain that I am a child of God as I am alive".
