"Imputation is not the conferring of a status without a ground of real imputed moral righteousness. It is the counting of an alien, real, moral, perfect righteousness, namely Christ's as ours".
John Piper - "The Future of Justification: A Response to N T Wright" - IVP, Nottingham (2008) - (p171).
"The man who never reads will never be read. He who never quotes will never be quoted. He who will not use the thoughts of other men's brains proves that he has no brains of his own ... You need to read" - C H Spurgeon. "To fail to learn from the pulpit of the past is to impoverish that of the present" - Tony Sargent

John Piper on Imputation
John Piper on Romans 5:18-19
"Notice the main point about justification in verse 18: It happens to all who are connected to Christ the same way condemnation happened to those who were connected to Adam. How is that? Adam acted sinfully and because we were connected to him, we were condemned in him. Christ acted righteously and because we are connected to Christ we are justified in Christ. Adam's sin is counted as ours. Christ's "act of righteousness" is counted as ours".
John Piper - "Counted Righteous in Christ: Should We Abandon the Imputation of Christ's Righteousness?" - IVP, Nottingham (2002) - (p107-108).
John Piper on Justification
"God counts us as having His righteousness in Christ because we are united to Christ by faith alone. That is, we are counted as perfectly honouring and displaying the glory of God, which is the essence of God's righteousness and which is also a perfect fulfilling of the law. This is what God imputes to us and counts us as having because we are in Christ who perfectly honoured God in His sinless life. It is not nonsense. It is true and precious beyond words".
John Piper - "The Future of Justification - A Response to N T Wright" - IVP, Nottingham (2008) - (p165).

Terry Virgo on Freedom to Risk All
"Grace should never lead to passivity, but to outrageous adventure, a lifestyle that baffles those who play safe. It threatens the status quo not only of tentative religion, but of cynical unbelief. It sets the church free to risk all for the praise of him who freely gave all for us."
Terry Virgo - God's Lavish Grace - Monarch - 2004 - p185
Don Carson on Freedom from Rules
"Paul refuses to set up an arbitrary set of checkpoints against which Christians are to measure themselves; he refuses to erect hoops through which believers must jump. Rather, he simply prays to his heavenly Father and asks him that these believers may pursue what is best."
D A Carson - A Call to Spiritual Reformation - Baker - 1992
(Quoted by Terry Virgo - God's Lavish Grace - Monarch - 2004 - p136)
Terry Virgo on Grace and Gifts
"If you are in Christ, his righteousness not only saves you, it also qualifies you to receive amazing gifts of the Holy Spirit."
Terry Virgo - God's Lavish Grace - Monarch - 2004 - p92
Rob Rufus on Prayer
"Prayer administrates the power of the finished work of the Cross into the nations".
Rob Rufus - "The Supernatural Operation of the Gifts of the Spirit - The Presence of the Glory" - City Church International, Hong Kong - 17th March 2007.
Rob Rufus on Receiving Gifts of the Holy Spirit
"When the anointing and the glory are radiating through the Church, it is so easy to access downloads of divine information".
Rob Rufus - "The Supernatural Operation of the Gifts of the Spirit - The Presence of the Glory" - City Church International, Hong Kong - 17th March 2007.
Rob Rufus on Teaching on the Gifts of the Spirit
"I think we have got it back to front - we try and teach and define the gifts and think everyone will start doing the gifts. No, no - what we must do is activate what releases the gifts in the church and then when there is enough people moving in the gifts and there is holy pandemonium and chaos and everyone is doing the gifts, we can say; "Ok now fantastic! We need not to calm it down but just find wisdom and administration for it".
