Rob Rufus on Legalism

"People under law are bound up by a spirit of rejection and they try to tie up others in Pharisaical bondage. They're touchy and competitive - they hate to see other people succeed because that threatens them. We must learn that we are more important than anything we can do or achieve in life. We are not the sum total of our achievements. If people only love us for what we can do for them, we're better off without them. We must understand that God accepts us and then we can be truly free".
