"[And] we have been saved from our sins by all three persons in God, working together in perfect harmony but with different contributions and all for our sake. The God above us, the God beside us and the God within us has acheived what we could never have accomplished for ourselves... Quite simply, the Trinity lies at the heart of the gospel. Without this reality, the relationship disintergrates. Without this good news, religion becomes bad news, an extra burden to be borne, extra duties to perform, something we have to carry rather than something that carries us, emphasising what we need to do for God rather than what God can do for us."
